About me
Chief Designer and titan of tap dancing.

Originally from San Diego, California, Michelle grew up training extensively in ballet, tap, and jazz. As an adult, Michelle was drawn into the tap world and has been an accomplished tap choreographer for over 24 years.

Michelle has trained with such tap masters as Brenda Buffalino, Mike Minery, Sam Weber, and the late Gregory Hines. She is well known as the tap trainer and choreographer for Sophia Lucia. Under Michelle's tutelage, Sophia broke the 2012 Guinness World Record for consecutive pirouettes.

Her choreography is sought after all over the country, and her students can be seen dancing for Fox, Disney, ESPN and in "Dance Teacher" and "Dance Spirit" magazine. Michelle's students hold numerous national championship titles, and she is known as one of the most successful tap choreographers ever in the competitive dance industry.

Most recently, you will see her tap on NBC's World Of Dance. Michelle also trained the 2006 World Dance Champion, who became the youngest ever intern for the New York City Rockettes.

Her students have danced for such artists as Rhianna and Britney Spears. Michelle is proud to have been nominated for eight tap dance Industry Dance Awards and won the IDA for "Best Tap Dance" for three out of six years since the award's inception.

Michelle's stellar record of training dancers is surpassed only by her experience and love for designing costumes that win competitions.

Michelle serves as the lead designer at DivaWear and has over 15 years of experience in costume design.  Our costumes are as luxurious as they are unique—at prices, anyone can afford.
