For 10 years, I served as a Director and Event Manager for high-impact non-profit organizations in the arts, education, and health sectors. During my tenure, I brought passion, drive, and pursued excellence in the performance of my duties. These experiences helped me hone my skills as an executive—often conducting contract negotiations, doing project management, performing talent acquisition, and mentoring my team.
Before my work with non-profits in the arts, I founded and operated a successful wedding and event planning company. I was formally educated at Arizona State University, where I received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences degree.
Fast forwarding in life, I married into one of San Diego's most well-known dance families. After having three children of my own, it seemed inevitable that I became a dance mom. My children have helped me relive my own experiences in dance (including those old-school/horrible dance costumes of yesteryear!)
My life's experiences have empowered and motivated me to continue serving the dance community that I've fallen in love with. DivaWear was founded on the premise that all dancers deserve access to high quality, stylish costumes at an affordable price.
I believe in the highest level of concierge service and use of my creativity to show customers possibilities for costumes and dancewear that they never knew existed.
The greatest joy comes from seeing dancers on stage, in our designs, oozing self-confidence and nailing their performances. There is nothing better!
